Abstract

Roller machines are designed for grinding grain, seeds, intermediate products at flour, cereal, alcohol, breweries, as well as in the production of vegetable oil. The grinding of these products is carried out in a wedge-shaped space formed by the surfaces of two parallel cylindrical rollers rotating at different speeds towards each other. Grain in a roller mill is subjected to complex deformation: compression and shear. The principle of operation of the roller mill is to destroy the grain due to the different speeds of the grinding rollers. In the grinding zone, the destroyed grain particle lags behind the rapidly rotating roller and overtakes the slowly rotating one, which increases the impact of the flute on it.
