The article proposes a laboratory work on the calculation of the specific heat of various solids by solving simple thermodynamic processes, heat balance equations, and also presents experimental results. Mixing heated copper, lead and glass with cold water and measure the temperature of the mixture. Determination of the heat capacity of copper, lead and glass. The results were analyzed and shortcomings and ways to eliminate them were identified.
